Pigsty

A celebration of all things pork.

Building on the success of their established shipping container outlet, Pigsty on Bristol’s trendy Gloucester Road was a venture into a larger-scale, neighbourhood restaurant and bar format for customers who wish to sit and stay longer. We evolved Pigsty’s existing look and feel to create a more grown-up, premium space to attract local families, workers and group diners.

The interior mixes elements of town and farm with new and existing industrial elements, reclaimed farm doors, smart contemporary green herringbone timber and contrasting pink Corian. Original 1920s butcher shop tiling, discovered on site, adds age and authenticity, and graphic slogans and playful signage express the brand’s outgoing character.

Concept

Phoenix Wharf were great to work with. They took time to understand our business and values before helping us evolve the look and feel of the brand via smart thinking, operational insights and a striking visual and materials palette. They helped us achieve a premium feel for the new venue that is still true to the original brand vision and will help us move forward with confidence towards the next stage of our growth.
